What should I report? |
1. Anything that you feel would be useful to fellow members. This includes fishing reports, water conditions and techniques. |
2. If you notice rips that you think will hold fish, feel free to comment/report on those as well. |
Why post a report? |
1. Reports are a great learning tool - By reporting catch locations on RipCharts imagery, you and others can observe where and why the bite was in a certain area. |
2. Pay it forward - Did you plug the boat on your last trip? Help others with your report and in return gain valuable intel from other members before your next trip. |
3. Fish icons on the map are cool - But what's even cooler is when you fill the box with fish based on information driven from RipReports. |
How does it work? |
1. Exclusivity – RipReports are shared only with RipCharts members.* |
2. Any reports you post will be viewable by RipCharts members only for 10 days. |
3. After 10 days, your report icons turn monochrome and remain viewable only to you until you remove them (if you choose). |
4. Other members report icons remove themselves from your view after 10 days. |
What are the rules? |
1. Keep it exclusive – In order for this to work, do not share RipReports with non-members, unless you are the original author. |
2. Keep it clean - we do not want to play net-nanny, we would rather just keep improving the service. :) |
3. RipCharts reserves the right to revoke report privileges at anytime. |
|
*If you would like your reports to be viewable on the public side of RipCharts(e.g. charter captains looking for additional exposure), contact us and we can make it happen. |
|
Thank you for posting your RipReport! |
